Band Info
Hello to all bands/artists reading this!! If you are interested in playing, please read the following information. I guarantee you it will answer most questions you may have.
1.)Where is The Hedge? The Hedge is a mobile concert venue out of Landmark Baptist Church at 1450 Clough Pike, Batavia, OH 45103.
2.) Do I have to be a “Christian” band to play since it’s based in a church? No. We cater to all bands. We do ask that you do not curse or make any inappropriate gestures on stage.
3.) Will we get paid? No, bands are not paid. We do, however, give the bands free food and drinks all evening. Please let us know if you have certain food allergies such as peanuts or if you are a vegetarian and we want to make sure we serve you well.
4.) What time do we have to be there? We ask all bands to get here at 6:00pm. This way we can have you load in, have the first band sound checked and everyone situated before the show starts.
5.) What time does the show start? Generally the doors open at 7:00 and the music starts at 7:30 unless otherwise posted.
6.) What do I need to bring? Bring all of your equipment. We supply the microphones and PA system. If you need anything specific, please let us know at least 2 days before the show.
7.) Can I sell merch? Yes. We encourage the bands to sell merch and make money. If your merch has anything inappropriate, you can still sell it but cover it up with a piece of tape or something of that sort. If you think something might be inappropriate, contact us and we’ll help figure it out.
8.) How long is our set time? Each band plays approximately 30 minutes with a 10 minute changeover.
9.) What is the normal turnout? The turnout depends on how hard the bands work at promoting their show. We do some promoting but the majority of promo comes from the bands themselves. The crowd depends on you.
10.) Can I drink, do drugs, or smoke before/during the show? Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited at The Hedge. If we find that you have done drugs or are in possession of them, we will ask you to leave. We do allow smoking outside, just not in the building.
11.) Do you make a flyer or do we? If you want to make a flyer, go for it! The more advertising the better!
12.) What if we need to cancel? We understand that sometimes things happen that are out of your control. If you need to cancel, please do so 1 week before your show at the latest. Please DO NOT book a show and confirm it without ALL of the band members agreeing (last minute cancellations put us in a real bind). Otherwise, if you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact 513-752-7751 ASAP.
13) All band members must sign a Liability Waiver in order to play The Hedge. If you are under age 18, your parent or legal guardian must sign on your behalf. Once the waiver is signed and turned in, we will keep it on file.
